Smokey Eye = Nude Lip. That's always been the "rule" when it comes to pairing a lip colour. Since most celebrities wear that sultry smokey eye either a nude or red lip accompanies it, and most go with the nude. Whenever a bright color is applied, it draws attention directly to that area. Most women prefer the focus to be on their eyes, not just celebrities but all kinds of women, especially when they hate their teeth or lips. It's a comfort thing as well. For years now, since at least 2003, Nude has been "the it color". That's 10 years of the same thing. The same habit, same comfort zone and it takes a lot to step outside that. We see celebrities wearing nude lips quite often. Take Kim Kardashian for example. She's pouting a nude lip in 99% of any images of her or on the big screen.
A nude lip can really be worn any time of day, any function, work or play, that's the beauty of it. Anyone can wear a nude lip, there are so many different shades of nude that it can suit any skin color or tone. There are a few different ways to achieve a nude lip and a few different finishes. You can go with any combination of lip liner, lipstick and lipgloss. I would recommend lining the natural line of the lip, apply lipstick, followed by lipgloss using the following products;
It cosmetics Waterproof lip liner stain in light medium
Mac Cosmetics Freckletone is a good peachy nude that's great for tan skin
MAC Cosmetics Frou Lipstick is a great light beige great for pale white skin
Redness in lips that shows too much through lip colors, they can use a product like MAC Lip Erase
